Thunder Prince:
This is what appears to be a Hong Kong animated feature from 1987 of the standard chopsocky film story. Andy, the "Thunder Prince" watches his father get killed by the Black Mantis and he runs away and is eventually trained in martial arts and returns to avenge his father's death.

The Dub: Basically about as "good" as the kung-fu films from the 70s. I still find it interesting is how those dubbing this film expected us to take seriously a character who refers to the hero as a "whipper-snapper."

The Video: Lots of scratches and hair on the film and at one point it got rather murky. Still, it was completely watchable.

Conclusion: If you like chopsocky or martial arts anime, this one was definately very interesting. Plus, you get to see a monkey punch a snake which instantly makes this a classic!
